I have received an email supposed to be from yahoo/msn about a massive win is this email genuine?
If it's to good to be true - it isn't! SCAM SCAM SCAM
Reply:This is a SCAM. If you click on the below link this site confirms various email scams hitting the internet and provides an online form for the reporting of all scams and frauds - (with links for your own country.)

Unscrupulous thieves have sent you this email and they are trying to part you from your hard earned cash. They will often ask you to call a premium rate number and keep you holding on whilst you rack up a huge phone bill. They are then paid a large proportion of this phone bill. They may ask you to divulge personal information about yourself or ask for your bank or credit card details. Do not divulge any such information under any circumstances. It is surprising how many innocent victims have been duped by these types of emails. Please remember the thieves who send them are very clever and extremely convincing. I suggest you delete the email and send it into cyberspace where it belongs.

Reply:Well does it sound too good to be true? yes? Then it is.

Come off it you don't actually think someone would just give you half a mil do you? of course it's a scam. *sigh*
Reply:Dear friend

all the best

see if this people are not asking any money in the form of DD charges

or any other account opening charges, you can proceed

you dont pay any charges before you get the money in that case you can procees ,

if this people ask any charges drop it.
Reply:I get those all the time. Does the logical side of your brain really think this is legit? It would be nice but it's a scam. Don't give out any info.
Reply:I very much doubt it. If they were real I'd be oh so rich by now.
Reply:Spam it
Reply:behave yourself of course it isnt genuine
Reply:Scam!!!!! That message is both a fake and an outright fraud. Don't contact the phishers and give them any of your personal information at all. Spam that scam message straight into oblivion right away. This is one lottery you'll never win because it's "bogus."

Another thing, the phishers telling you to "keep this lottery information confidential" would indicate to you not to say anything about this to anybody until they have finished scamming you.
Reply:just like many emails that ask you to forward stuff, you can see that as a social viral email, meaning they are trying to get YOU to do something.

To even first consider if something is real, ask what would the person/company giving away something really benefit from giving someone a "win". It would not bring them any attention in the media (publisher's clearing house gives out money for promotional media coverage and to get people to want to order so they have a chance to win).

Also, look at the email it is from, and report it. I believe this may be against the rules of most free email sources. Then again, an email's return address may not always be valid.
Reply:it's not genuine

if i added all the money i have supposedly won i would be a multibillionaire lol
Reply:Of course not! Do you really believe if you won half a million dollars or pounds or whatever in a lottery you didn't enter, that you'd REALLY be notified using Yahoo email? Get real and get rid of this junk.
Reply:Sorry friend but there is no Microsoft, Yahoo or other e-mail lottery, it's a scam do not answer do not give personal information. The following sites give more information
