Why don't the backgrounds (or word art) I add to an email thru MSN appear when received by Yahoo mail?

And,is there any way to enable this to happen? And conversely, if I get the background option from Yahoo mail, will it show up if I send it to a hotmail or MSN mail account? (or others)? (By the way, what does "add this question to my messenger status mean?")

yahoo doesnt allow backgrounds.. By upgrading in Yahoo mail you can have the emals sent to your Outlook, then see the backgounds..
