Chat for Yahoo & MSN & net email access removed (at work), any other options?

Husband and I have been communicating for years back and forth (work/home) (whats for dinner, I'm just leaving now, I think I forgot my wedding ring by the sink can you verify? etc), but now they just turned it 'off'. Any other options? More than one idea would be nice so I can try them all. All help appeciated.

I don't know how you can get around. I used to go to the My Yahoo page and could get through the filter here at work clicking on my mail, but they eventually figured that one out too.
