I received an email saying thay i won money in a contest made from yahoo and msn is this spam?
This is a SCAM. Check out the below link for confirmation of various scams, including the famous Yahoo/MSN lottery scams and how to report them.

Unscrupulous thieves have sent you this email and they are trying to part you from your hard earned cash. They will often ask you to call a premium rate number and keep you holding on whilst you rack up a huge phone bill. They are then paid a large proportion of this phone bill. They may ask you to divulge personal information about yourself or ask for your bank or credit card details. Do not divulge any such information under any circumstances. It is surprising how many innocent victims have been duped by these types of emails. Just remember the thieves who send them are very clever and extremely convincing. I suggest you delete the email and send it into cyberspace, hopefully along with the thieving scumbags who send them.

Reply:Yea, it is. I've been hearing a lot about this lately.
Reply:Definitely, nothing's for free
Reply:it is definitely spam. Most of the time the money emails are lotteries, and i'm assume that's what you had received. I wouldn't trust it because Yahoo and MSN do not have any contests that's forward to someone's email. Most of time when they have contests, you could see it on their websites, but i definitely would not trust that. Most of those are scams that want your back account ##, social security, and many of your personal information.
Reply:If you have not entered any contest then all of these are scams. There is nothing out there that automatically enters you in the contest. No one is that generous. All Scams...
